The 3rd Peak
"THE 3rd PEAK" - This painting by resident artist, Ryan Brothers, depicts Picasso's vision from Season 1, Episode 1. The mysterious third peak peers out through the equally-mysterious mist, casting a light upon the Peak of Defiance.
Episode 1: The Peak of Defiance, Part 1
PICASSO: "It wasn’t a fire. It was a light. And there was a beautiful melody emanating from it. I heard the song from my bed and followed it out here. For a moment, the mist parted and I could see a third mountain in the distance with a light coming from it. It was different from any light I’ve ever seen…"
As Mortimer sought out Cwrig in The Origin he traveled to the edge of the canopy and ventured beyond the protection of the mist. What he saw was a wilderness of desolation.
Ryan's latest work, inspired by the Origin Series, gives us a glimpse into the moment when Mortimer approaches Cwrig's cave dwelling. Outside the Mist's protection, Mortimer gets a bird's eye view of the old world's destruction, sitting unchanged and lit by the eerie, amber-colored sky.
"Reliance" is a painting that depicts Brothers' vision for the Peak of Reliance, the legalistic mountaintop society that listeners first hear about in Season One, Episode Four. Known for its strict obedience to the Book of Guidance, Reliance has endured for generations. The people of Reliance are sustained by the land and the farming on top of the peak. With a strong central government, led by the High Priest, the people are dependent upon his wisdom and recollection of the Great Book. Leading simple and pious lives they seek to live forever by steering clear of willful sins. Learn more about the Peak of Reliance in Season One, Episodes Four, Five and Six!
Episode 8: The Quest, Part 2

SAM: I’ve never seen flowers like this
ROY: Or a house like that
ARBOR: And this is our home.
SAM: Wow. It’s incredible. What is it made out of?
ARBOR: It’s all wood from the trees in this forest.
SAM: Well, it’s awesome. I love how it almost blends into the woods. So cool…
DOLINA: Thank you, we’re quite proud of it. It’s like our own little haven.
This final rendering of Ann's fall from Episode 13 gives the audience a wonderful glimpse into the moment that changes Ann forever.
